It's a funny day really, valentines. I think if you love somebody you should show them everyday, not just on one day when everything is over priced and really busy but in saying that I still can't opt out. When my boys were small I'd send cards to them through the post but to be fair I think they always knew it was me.
Two lots of our friends married on Valentines which is nice but I always think you'll get one bunch of flowers for 2 celebrations, and that one will cost more than the two on any other of the 364 days of the year. I think a special meal or breakfast in bed is so special not just on Feb 14th but anytime, show the special person in your life how much you care. Love is a wonderful thing and should be celebrated every single day.

Hi my name is Jo Wheatley, some of you may know me as the winner of 2011 Great British Bake off. Since finishing GBBO I have started up a Home bakery school from my house in Essex (the class dates are listed in masterclasses) and I've now written 2 books 'A passion for baking' on general release & 'Home Baking' available exclusively in Sainsburys and where I also write my monthly column for their lovely foodie magazine.
