I really love making muffins you chuck a few dried ingredients in a bowl, a few wet ones in a jug, combine the 2 and you get something, wonderfully yummy. Sometimes I weigh out all the ingredients the night before, then combine the 2 when I get up, ready to bake for breakfast, so nice with a cup of latte and fresh orange juice. And so simple.
- 300g plain flour
- 110g caster sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- 250 ml whole milk
- 2 eggs
- 85g unsalted butter ( melted)
- 200g Nutella
- 60g chopped hazelnuts
- 12 squares of milk chocolate
TOPPINGS
- 45G caster sugar
- 30g chopped hazelnuts
Heat oven to 170, Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl, mix wet ingredients in a jug, mix both together, pour into 12 muffin cases in a muffin tin, put a square of chocolate into each one. Then mix the toppings together and sprinkle over the top of each muffin. Cook for 25-30 mins.
These are my take on the hummingbird bakery's hazelnut praline muffins.
Love the idea of that square of chocolate in each one, just melting through, gorgeous! My housekeeping budget goes out the window when the GBBO is on, I always want to try everything. X
ReplyDeleteIt's a really nice little surprise when you bite into them, I can't tell you how much all the practising cost for the bake off x
ReplyDeleteThey are definitely on my list to bake, they look yummy!
ReplyDeleteLook at the crust on those bad boys! Delectable!
